Quality
education on cognitive, affective, psychomotor achievement is
the goal of national education. Education in Indonesia has on the achievement
is not maximal and religiosity is weak. KEMENDIKBUD in 2013 has developed the
2006 curriculum into the 2013 curriculum by using a scientific approach in
learning activities PAI & Budi Pekerti. This approach is expected to
develop student religiosity and achievement. The author conducted a study
related to the above policy to seek correlation between scientific events on
the learning experience of Islam and
Character Education with the religiosity of students of class VIII in SMP N 5
Semarang.
This research is a field research with
qualitative approach. The objective of this research is to find out associative
relationship between some variables :( 1) Scientific approach and students’
religiosity; (2) Scientific approach and students’ religiosity achievement; and
(3) Scientific approach, religiosity, and students’ achievement in SMP N 5
Semarang. The object of this research is VIII grade students in SMP N 5
Semarang.
The sampling techniques used were
probability and random sampling techniques. The total population of VIII grade
students was 288, yet the muslim students were 238,
therefore the researcher took 5% significant rate and the chosen sample became
150 students. The questionnaire was used to gain scientific approach and
religiosity variables datum, whereas Islam and Character Education teacher’s
documentation was used to gain students’ achievement variable. The
questionnaire had been arranged and tested on its validity and reliability as
the test requirements.
The hypothesis or data analysis used
simple correlation technique and simple linear regression through normality,
linearity, and homogeneity tests. The result of the hypothesis showed that ;(1) there is
a positive relationship between scientific approach on the learning experience
of Islam and Character Education and VIII grade students’ religiosity with Sig r count = 0,867 > 0,159( rtable n=150 sign5%); (2) there is a positive relationship between scientific approach on the learning experience
of Islam and Character Education and VIII grade students’ achievement with sig r count knowledge
value = 0,669, rcount spiritual attitude value = 0,794, rcount social attitude
value = 0,716, and rcount skill value = 0,717,> 0, 159; (3) there is a positive relationship between scientific approach on the learning
experience of Islam and Character Education, students’ religiosity and
achievement with the current significance.
Based on
the research, it can be seen that the scientific approach on learning
activities of PAI & Budi Pekerti contributes to cognitive, affective, and
psychomotor achievement, so that the implementation must be done well, in accordance
with the procedure and must be balanced with the creativity of teachers in
carrying out the learning activities, the development of religiosity and
achievement of the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects will be
realized.
